Okay for Fast, Easy and Mediocre Coffee but "Keep Hot" Plate Corrodes Aug 28, 2010 We bought our B&D 5-cup coffee maker (DCM675BMT) in early 2008. It fit our décor and would be good when either or both of us might want a few cups of fast and easy coffee. It has worked fine (mediocre coffee, however). But, be prepared for this coffee maker to only last 2 or 3 years.
For example, shortly after the 2-year warranty was up, the "Keep Hot" plate started to corrode. Now it is a mess; my wife considers it especially unsightly.
Being fairly handy at appliance repair, I went to the online sites of all of the major parts suppliers. Replacement "Keep Hot" plates are not available anywhere I can find. Also, it appears that the bottom is affixed with tamper-proof screws so that it can't be repaired! Planned obsolescence???
No coffee filters? Aug 28, 2010 I don't need to buy paper coffee filters?
Who do I need to kill? Thanks B&D
The B&D 5-Cupper Jun 04, 2010 Having had an under the cabinet B&D for more years than I thought possible I expect a lot from this little coffee pot. It works fine and makes a good cup of coffee. I fresh grind my coffee every morning because I enjoy my coffee and want it fresh and tasty. That is what I get with this machine. Now if this CM lasts half as long as my other one (purchased in the 80's) I will be happy. For the money, purchasing the BCM675BMT, you will get a machine that makes good coffee. The downside is the visibility of the on/off light. It is small and weak. I have to turn off the kitchen light to see if I hit the right button to turn it off. I might like an insulated carafe except I don't let the coffee sit around. I have the carafe empty and rinsed early in the morning so I don't really need it to be insulated. Is this the grandest coffee maker of all time? Hardly ... but it will make a good pot of coffee.Black & Decker DCM675BMT 5-Cup Programmable Coffee Maker with Carafe, Black/Stainless
Okay office coffee maker May 26, 2010 There are some definite pros and cons for this coffee maker, hence the in-between review.
Pros:
At a glance, its cute.
The coffee is hot.
The coffee tastes pretty decent.
Cons:
You can't remove the carafe before the coffee is done.
The carafe spills a *lot* when pouring the coffee into my mug.
The coffee burns easily if you don't shut the device off after brewing.
It's fairly cheaply made, so I don't know how long it will last (used fairly regularly for 4 months so far).
I still use it... but probably will invest in something with auto shut off and being able to remove the carafe during brewing next time.

I give it a B May 25, 2010 Bought this when my tired Mr. Coffee finally gave up the ghost. Have had this about four months now.
I've got limited kitchen space and love the compact size of this coffee maker and the metal carafe.
No more being 'delicate' with those glass carafes we've all learned to hate.
Makes good coffee good and hot, and I like the auto-brew, auto shut-off, etc. It also takes standard coffee filters.
Only downside to this maker is that the carafe is to thin on the bottom.
After about 15 minutes, your brewed coffee will start to burn.
